[2015 Movie] Avengers 2: Age of Ultron
Hello, blog, and everyone reading it- I know I don't have a lot of readers here, but then I'm also lazy... so ... we're even hahaha.
I watched the Avengers 2 today... There are many plot lines running in this SUPER LONG movie. It's a decent action movie with lots of actions and CG (computer graphics). Many epic (ish) landscape, high-tech laser filled actions and flying objects. I would've appreciated some more martial art styled hand fights, but I mean... no one does that nowadays? It's still worth watching given the well-loved cast and the decent plots. Watching in 4D might have been exciting, because there are many flying and dropping scenes. 3D wise, I didn't think it's that great. I didn't feel like it's epic enough :P. There are some (quite a bit) comic relief here and there, but I don't like how they all felt like they were forced in there. Many of the jokes weren't really worth the time.
(The rest of the articles shouldn't have spoilers, either- there wasn't much to spoil anyways= =)
My fav Marvel hero?
Like most people, Tony Stark- I like him more as a person than the suit hahaha (Iron Man is honestly losing its awesomness as it hasn't been upgraded with new gadgets since... forever O_O) - of course, a big part of why I like Tony has to be because Robert Downey Jr. totally brought the character alive and made him better. My other favourite has to be Captain America- I guess I just really like the old fashion good guys (my fav DC hero is Superman- you see why...). Well, on this one though, I gotta say, it's because they got the pretty boy, Chris Evans to act in the role :D
Tony showed his flaws (well, isn't he known for all his flaws by now LOL?!) by creating his arch enemy - Ultron. Then still keeps over correcting things...I don't know, he wasn't that lovable (if at all) in this film. If this is the first time someone's seen Tony, they'd dislike this character...
Captain still has his cool (and dorkiness). Still being teased for his old fashioned ways, but I think he is growing more and more lovable by each movie- the cute old-school good blond boy has special charms :D. His bantering (bromance) with Tony was one of the highlight of the film <3 - the two together is just cuteness overload!
Thor, he has a running joke with his Axe :P. Other than that, his plot in the movie was a bit weird...not good.
The Korean (Plastic Surgeon) Tissue regeneration Dr. Chow, lol- if you get this, it's actually kinda racist ;). She's pretty cool though hahaha, and her comic moment's bad acting was REALLY memorable! (actually kinda cute with that bad, over exaggerating Asian acting style, ironically).
Now, Ultron, I gotta say, this villain created by Mr. Tony Stark kinda acts and talks like Tony... and feels like a rebellious kid of Tony Stark hahaha (and the little brother of Jarvis <3). I don't like the villain, I guess it's because AI (artificial intelligent) turns into great disaster had been a long-running plot/theme in movies.
Loki and Pepper were only mentioned in the movie, they were not shown. Bummer, I love Pepper, and I know many people LOVE Loki. Shame. Tony's pretty messed up in this movie, Pepper should've came in and give him a good lesson ;)
That shiny blue cube on that scepter (stick/wand) is actually made of mind stone with powerful energy enough to destroy the universe ( I don't think this is a spoiler, because it's been said every time that shiny cube appears...).
The new Superman-like character, Vision was also born in this movie. From personality to ability, he resembles Superman too much... I love Superman, so I do like this character :P Except, because of the comic art, the actor's look cannot add to the character's charm... too bad.
Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) is hot as usual. Her love line is not with the Hawkeye (arrow shooting guy - he actually has his own family- wife, children and all.) O_O, but Hulk... really?! They just suddenly started developing feelings with each other?! Yeah... I didn't buy that... Apparently the media didn't either, judging by some news articles. I didn't think this part was needed.
Cobie Smoulders, hot as usual, too. But her character, Maria Hills, I never felt like she's that needed in the film... All she does is like a communications officer ish task?!
I love the new twins (Quick Silver and Scarlet Witch). They never really mentioned their names in the movie = = I had to search for it on Wikipedia... like wtf?! Anyhow, the ending was dramatic only because of them. They are the most interesting part of the plot. I love Scarlet's power! AND her last scene in the movie was amazing- her appearance- so beautiful :D.
Basically the whole movie feels like a filler ish- just to set a background story for the new avengers... I don't know why Marvel had to move on with their heroes like this, but I can assume some actors are getting too pricy for the team to pay ;). This movie is action filled, plot filled, characters filled, BUT with this many plots, nothing really stuck with me except for the twins... Therefore, I don't consider it a great film. It's definitely entertaining though. If I've missed anything above, that would be because they're not memorable enough.
OMG... I'm so tired... I wanna sleep now lol
Bye Bye ~ ★
